Threads Video Downloader
Paste the link to a public Threads post and this Threads video downloader lists every video and photo in it, each with its own download button. A carousel shows all of its items together, so you can keep one of them or all of them.
Public posts only. Media is streamed to you and never kept on our servers.
THREE STEPS
How to Download Threads Videos
You need the link to the post itself, not to the profile. This is where Threads keeps it, in the app and on the web.
Copy the post link
In the Threads app, tap the paper-plane share icon under the post and choose Copy link. On threads.com the same icon sits under every post; opening the post and copying the address bar works too.
Accepted links:
threads.com/@username/post/…, the older threads.net address and the
short /t/… form.
Paste it and press Preview
Paste the link into the downloader above. The button only becomes active once the text looks like a Threads post address, so a profile URL or a half-copied link never reaches our server.
Save each item
The preview shows the poster's username, the opening of the caption and every video and photo in the
post. Each one has its own button, and every file name starts with threads_ plus the
username.
WHY THIS TOOL EXISTS
What a Threads Video Downloader Does
Bookmarking a post in Threads keeps it inside the app. It does not give you a file you can watch offline, move to another device or still have after the post is deleted.
This page covers that gap for public posts. Paste a post link and our server opens the post with its own Threads account, reads which videos and photos it holds, and passes each file to your browser when you press its button. You never sign in, and nobody asks for your Threads password.
The same setup explains the limits. A private profile shows its posts only to followers its owner has approved, so the tool cannot fetch them, and a deleted post no longer exists to be read. What you receive is the file Threads delivers: we add no watermark and keep no copy once the transfer ends.
WHAT YOU CAN SAVE
Videos, Photos and Carousels from Threads
Each post is read as a list of media items, and every item gets its own download button. The text of a post is shown in the preview but is not saved as a file.
Threads Videos
A video post comes back as one item, previewed by its cover image. The download is the video file itself, at the resolution Threads serves for that post.
Threads Photos
A single-photo post is listed the same way, with the photo as its own preview and a Download Photo button underneath.
Carousels
A post with several videos or photos shows them all in a numbered grid. Save one, a few or every item; the preview stays open between downloads.
IF A LINK FAILS
When a Threads Link Won’t Load
Most failures trace back to the link itself or to who is allowed to see the post.
Preview Stays Greyed Out
The box accepts post links only. A profile address such as threads.com/@username has no post in it, so open the post itself and copy that link instead.
Private Profile
Posts on a private profile are visible only to followers the owner has approved, and the tool is not one of them.
Post Deleted or Removed
If the poster deleted it or Threads took it down, there is nothing left to fetch. Open the link in a browser to check whether it still loads.
Text-Only Post
A post without a video or photo has nothing to download. If the media sits in a quoted post or a reply, copy the link of that post instead.
Too Many Requests
Each connection can send a limited number of requests every few minutes. If you hit the limit, wait a few minutes and paste the link again.
QUESTIONS
Threads Video Downloader FAQ
Accounts, carousels, watermarks, quality, old threads.net links and what happens to your files.
Do I need a Threads account to use this?
No. The server reads posts with its own Threads account, so all you supply is the link. You are never asked to sign in or to enter a password.
Can I download every item in a carousel?
Yes. Each video and photo gets its own button. Files download one at a time, and the preview stays open so you can work through the whole carousel without pasting the link again.
Does the tool add a watermark?
No. We add nothing to the file. Anything that is already part of the video, such as text the creator placed over it, stays because it belongs to the original.
What quality will the file be?
The quality Threads serves for that post. The file passes through unchanged, so it is never upscaled or recompressed on our side, and it cannot be sharper than the copy Threads delivers.
Do threads.net links still work?
Yes. Post links on threads.net and threads.com are both accepted, and so is the short /t/ form.
Do you keep a copy of what I download?
No. Each file is streamed from Threads to your browser while the download runs, and nothing is saved on our servers.
